ABOUT ME

At this point in my life, I feel like I've truly lived life to the fullest at every point! I continually learn, travel and do exciting things EVERY chance I get...life is too short to just sit back! My family is my biggest support group and it's because of all of their wisdom, advice and constant motivation that I am the woman and professor I am today. A lot of my teaching and advice roots from my Armenian culture and upbringing.

I graduated high school when I was 16 years old then College of the Canyons with my Associates degree at 17. I transferred to UC Irvine as a junior and earned my bachelors in science of Biology at 19 years old. I continued my graduate education at USC Keck School of Medicine and graduate at 22 with my Masters of Physiology and Biophysics. I immediately started teaching at several community colleges until I fell in love with Moorpark College; students, faculty, staff and all that the college stands for!

I'm currently working full time teaching Anatomy, Physiology, Human Biology and Microbiology and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY JOB!!! This Fall 2018, I will begin my doctorate program at UCLA Graduate School of Education, Leadership Program.

I am not only a teacher of life sciences, but I'm also my student's biggest fan and supporter! I'm proud of any student who makes the effort to come to get advice, register for college, come to class, or work towards their ultimate goals; whatever those goals may be.
